New Beginnings Ministries of Fayette is a vibrant, non-denominational Christian community dedicated to the spiritual and physical well-being of the Fayette area. Led by Rev. Dr. Karen Joy King, the ministry was founded on the belief that it is never too late for a "new beginning" through the grace of Jesus Christ.
We are a community-based, community-focused family church that offers both spiritual guidance and local support. We strive to heal the whole body, mind, and spirit in oneness with the Holy Spirit.
For years, we have called 305 S. Maple Street our home, transforming the space into a local lighthouse for the community. The history of the ministry is defined by our "down-to-earth" approach to the Gospel—focusing on practical, biblical teachings that apply to everyday life.
Our congregation is known for its multi-generational warmth, where "Great-Grandmas" and new infants alike are celebrated as part of a single, growing family. This sense of belonging is the cornerstone of our church’s identity, fostering an environment where every member is encouraged to share their testimony and spiritual journey.
The ministry operates under a clear, service-oriented mandate to Serve, Encourage, and Equip:
Serve: Addressing the tangible needs of the community through benevolent outreach, including support for those in need of food, clothing, or life-essential skills.
Encourage: Strengthening the family unit and restoring hope to the discouraged, ensuring that a sacred legacy of faith is passed to the next generation.
Equip: Empowering believers through Bible studies, discipleship, and fellowship to live out their purpose and be "salt and light" in the world.
NBM Fayette maintains an active presence on Facebook, where we share updates, community events, and health-related information (such as smoking cessation resources). We also have a YouTube channel under the handle newbeginningsministriesfay254.
Dr. King’s "down-to-earth" messages and our focus on preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ will bring you in, but it's the Love of Christ that will keep you here.
